Cold water immersion is simple, but a few basics make it more comfortable. The notes below cover how to set up and use your tub — temperature, timing and care. They are general usage guidance, not health or medical claims.

Water Temperature
Most people run cold plunge water somewhere between 10°C and 15°C. Add ice to reach the
temperature you prefer, or set it on the chiller unit (chiller model). There is no single
"correct" temperature — start warmer and adjust to what suits you.

Session Length
If you are new to cold water, keep early sessions short and get out whenever you want to.
You can adjust duration over time as you get used to the temperature. Listen to your body
rather than a stopwatch.

Entry & Exit
Use the included cedar step to get in and out steadily — surfaces around a filled tub can be wet.
Lower yourself in gradually rather than jumping; cold water entry should be controlled.

Water Care
Drain the tub via its drain valve when changing the water, or keep it covered between uses
(Oxford cover included on the oval model). How often you change the water depends on use and
whether you treat it — refresh it before it looks or smells off.

Before you start
Cold water immersion isn't suitable for everyone. If you have a heart condition, high blood
pressure, are pregnant, or have any medical concern, speak to a doctor first. Don't use the tub
alone if you are new to cold water, and never under the influence of alcohol.

Step 01
Fill With Water
Place the tub on a level surface that can take the weight, then fill the stainless steel liner
with cold water using a garden hose.
Tip
Leave room near the rim so the water doesn't overflow when you get in.

Step 02
Cool the Water
On passive tubs, add ice to bring the water down to the temperature you want. On the chiller
model, set the temperature on the chiller unit instead of adding ice.

Step In
Use the included cedar step to lower yourself in steadily. Enter gradually rather than jumping,
and get out whenever you want to.
Safety

Drain or Cover
Empty the tub through the drain valve when you change the water, or cover it between sessions
(Oxford cover included on the oval model) to keep it clean.
